SUMMARY:2025 Kernewek Lowender Copper Coast Cornish Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Kernewek Lowender Copper Coast Cornish Festival is held on the Copper Coast in regional South Australia in the coastal towns of Wallaroo\, Moonta and Kadina. \nThe festival is held over seven days with the highlight being “The Big Weekend”\, featuring three large fairs: the Village Green Fair\, Fer Kernewek\, and a Classic Cavalcade of Cars (with over 500 vintage cars and motorcycles). Traditional Cornish food\, such as Cornish Pasties and Swanky beer is served during the Festival. maypole performances\, furry dancing\, and the selection of a May Queen are also included. Other events include a street parade\, a bake-off\, the Gathering of the Bards and the Dressing of the Graves. \nThe region is full of Cornish buzz during the festival week and the local community welcomes approx. 45\,000 people who join in on the festivities and celebrate the areas Cornish heritage. \nFor more information visit the Kernewek Lowender website.

DESCRIPTION:South Australia’s History Festival is an annual event that celebrates the state’s history through walks\, talks\, exhibitions\, workshops and more. The festival is one of South Australia’s largest community events and promotes the State’s history via wonderful collections\, places\, and stories. Each year Burra participates in this state wide event. \nThe town of Burra is rich with mining heritage and most of its 1840s legacy is still intact.
