The push to have Australian Cornish Mining Sites: Burra and Moonta recognised on the UNESCO World Heritage List has gathered significant momentum with a series of high-profile visits.

Following closely on the South Australian Government’s endorsement of the bid’s Preliminary Assessment, August has been filled with dignitaries, strategic conversations and celebrations of the region’s rich mining heritage, all in the presence of UK-based independent World Heritage consultant Mr Barry Gamble.
